Literature Text

we have wrists made of starstuff, and when we bleed,
universes collapse like old bridges—milky
white hares bounce along hydrogen bubbles in the sky
and burrow into dark matter meadows—flowers
made of suns and our two lips grow to be the size
of godly cathedrals where we worship passing satellites
from pews in the petals—the tail ends of comets

stretch across galaxies, writing words of wisdom
in crop circles—our fingers are moonbeams
touching the velvety fabric of the cosmos, which we
cut into blankets and wrap ourselves in—stories
of earth fall from our teeth in meteor showers,
each ghost a pebble ascending into black—i fall asleep
in your solar system, kissing each planet good night
Inspired by Phaeleh's album "Fallen Light." Full CD here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qajFhF… Definitely worth a listen if you're into chillstep.

Yeah, I guess I wound up writing another thing for that boy.

Oh my! The imagery is stunning, and each time I read this my mind's eye shows me different scenes. That amazes me!
